America’s Got Talent finalist Charles Peachock: Catch The Impossible during Spring Break on Monday, March 16 at St. Jacobs Country Playhouse and Tuesday, March 17 at Dunfield Theatre Cambridge. 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. both days. Tickets $25 plus HST for all ages.

University of Waterloo’s Let’s Talk Science are bringing their most exciting and informative hands-on experiments.

 

Kitchener Public Library – a variety of kids’ activities including Pipecleaners and Pompoms, Ready Set Act, Family Storytime, Big Hero 6, and Ocean Explorer.

 

Assorted activities at the Cambridge Public Library – including Baker’s Bash, Mr. Chris and the Gassy Bubbles, Pawley’s Reptile Show, Minion Mayhem, and DIY String Art.

March Break at the Wellington County Museum and Archives – spend an afternoon with The Services! Each day will highlight a different military service: Air Force, Army, Navy, Home Front, and the Legion. Admission is by donation. March 16-20

 

Magic, music, creatures, and more! March Break at the Orangeville Public Library

From Monday, March 16 to Friday, March 20 the library will offer a live ticketed entertainment show in the morning and a free drop-in library program in the afternoon. Monday will feature a magic show and games to challenge. The ever popular animal show is on Tuesday with a learn-to-knit workshop featuring the ladies from Orange thREADs. Your Wednesday can be filled with music and a creative writing session for tweens. DuffleBag Theatre will present Snow White on Thursday with a LEGO Jam at the library. The week concludes with a Mad Science show and computer and board games on Friday.  $3 per person or three shows for $8. 10:30 to 11:15 am and 2 to 2:45 pm. At École élémentaire des Quatres-Rivières, 60 Century Drive, Orangeville.

 

Free Swimming and Skating in Orangeville

There will be two free swims held during March Break at Alder Street Recreation Centre on Wednesday, March 18 from 12-1 p.m. and 3-4 p.m.

Free skates will take place on Wednesday, March 18 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:20 p.m. and from 2-2:50 p.m. at the Alder Street Recreation Centre and are being sponsored by Access Orangeville. An additional free skate will take place on Friday, March 20 from 4-5:50 p.m. at Tony Rose Memorial Sports Centre.

 

MARCH BREAK AT PAMA 2015 – March 16 to March 20, 2015, 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. each day, All Ages, Free with Admission

PAMA is offering special event as well as instructor-led drop in activities. Each day will be a new and unique family experience so join us for all five days and explore, create and connect with art and history in your community.

Monday, March 16, 2015: Awesome Animation. Join TIFF at PAMA for a two screenings of “Creativity Unleashed “and stop motion animation demonstrations. Then create your own 3D/animated story board!

Tuesday, March 17, 2015: Our Feathered FriendsDiscovery Stations Touch and feel bird sculls, eggs, talons, real nests, play matching games, bring in photos from birds at your feeder and ask our PAMA bird expert.

Wednesday, March 18, 2015: Lovely Little Landscapes  Join a local artist to learn about landscape and create your own beautiful artwork.

Thursday, March 19, 2015: Meet the Feathered Friends  See live birds today at PAMA and learn about what birds are, how to identify them, how and why feathers grow. Also don’t miss your opportunity to create your own feathered friend.

Friday, March 20, 2015: Music, Movement and Art  Experience a live performance and interactive workshop by Kenton Wyatt and the Kendrum Music Academy. Don’t miss your opportunity to use inspiration and movement to create your own art piece at our drop in art activity.
