Canada Day 2015 in the Region


KITCHENER – A downtown Kitchener concert with Hollerado, Fefe Dobson, and Treble Charger. Music starts at 4 pm. Beer garden, vendors. Fireworks from the roof of city hall at 10:30 pm.

WATERLOO – Waterloo Region Museum open from 9:30 am to 5 pm. Free admission, music, croquet, horseshoes. University of Waterloo has activities at Columbia Lake starting at 4 pm: entertainment, activities for kids, food, beer garden, concert: Kim Mitchell. Fireworks at 10 pm.

CAMBRIDGE – annual parade beginning at 1 pm at King and Bishop Streets. Fireworks set off at dusk. In Riverside Park: Fishing Derby, food, carnival, midway, live bands, and more.

GUELPH – In Riverside Park, family activities start at 11 am.  Food, Royal City Big Band at 7:30 pm, fireworks around 10 pm.

FERGUS – Entertainment and fireworks at Centre Wellington Community Sportsplex from 6-11 pm.

ELORA – Pancake breakfast downtown starting at 8 am, artisan sale, soapbox derby, Rotary Duck Race, fireworks at night.


ORANGEVILLE – At Alder Street Recreation Centre from noon to 4 pm: free family swims (12-1 pm, 2-3 pm), Mayor’s welcome and cake-cutting at 2 pm, face painting, crafts, inflatable activities, dunk tank, food.  Fireworks over Island Park at 10 pm.






CANADA DAY ON THE SQUARE IN MISSISSAUGA – Host of Global News’ The Morning Show, Liza Fromer and Global News Anchors Antony Robart and Farah Nasser host the show, along with ET Canada’s Entertainment Reporter, Sangita Patel. Catch the Official Ceremony with Mayor Crombie at 4 p.m.!

Mississauga’s very own DJ Starting From Scratch will keep the party going with a live spin, all day long! With performances by Mississauga’s own Peter Katz, electric violinist Kytami, pop heart throb Scott Helman and our headliner, international recording hip hop artist Kardinal Offishall.

Join in the fun at Camp Canuck for Kids from 2 to 6 p.m.! – There will be plenty of activities for all ages, from face painting to larger than life buskers and jaw-dropping cirque performances. For the thrill seekers, be sure to check out the Extreme Trampoline Show, where nationally ranked gymnasts will be sure to get you jumping up with excitement.

Grab a bite of sweet and savoury treats from a line-up of gourmet food trucks. Food vendors include; Beavertails Pastry, CORNehCOPIA, Fidel Gastro, Fit to Grill, I Love Churros, Localista, Per Se Mobile, Randy’s Roti, The Mighty Cob, Urban Smoke, cotton candy and hot dog concessions, corn roasters, a tiki drink stand, and ice cream trucks.

BRAMPTON – Celebrate Canada’s 148th birthday at the third largest Canada Day celebration in the country at. Chinguacousy Park: a day filled with live music, family activities and of course – fireworks!

MILTON – A wide variety of activities at Milton Fairgrounds beginning at 11 am including:

  • Breakfast with our Veterans at Victoria Park
  • Citizenship Ceremony
  • Live Entertainment
  • Tim Hortons Kid Zone
  • Pan Am / Parapan Am Zone
  • Family Fun Activities
